This female Peregrine, most likely a Peale's variety, was seen last season as an immature, and was seen again a year later on the same beach. She was banded by a local biologist and you can see her bands in many shots. She is quite the hunter as I saw her knock down seven birds one day; four she consumed, one stolen by the harrier, one lost in the surf or escaped, and a duck which was stolen by a bald eagle.
