2015 San Jose Peregrine Falcons
These images are from banding day and are a small collection of some of my shots. I was also shooting video and at some point I might make some of that available. Because I have a number of photos of peregrines in flight I am always looking for a different pose, so here are a few that caught my eye. The wind was blowing which let the birds fly better and gave me a chance for some interesting images. Unfortunately the light was poor which makes photographing birds in flight difficult. I will post more images as time allows. A new website in the works will have many more of my images and videos
On a behavioral note, I found the female, Clara, to be less disturbed than in the years past. The male, Fernando, on the other hand, was mighty upset and put in some great stoops on Glenn. I also looked over edge at one point and saw a coot on a louver that had been cached by one of the birds.
